How to Request an Industrial Door Quotation
What to send for a CUBIXY industrial door quotation: opening sizes, door type, application, fire or explosion rating, control, installation and quantity.
Published By CUBIXY
CUBIXY does not publish a price list: each quotation is prepared from the specification of your openings. Send your requirements with the enquiry form and CUBIXY replies by email with a specification and quotation. The more of the information below you include, the more precise the specification and quotation will be.
1. Opening size and door type
Give the clear width × height in mm for each opening, and the door type you are considering. The catalogue lists these maximum sizes and installation options:
| Door type | Maximum width × height | Installation |
|---|---|---|
| Wind-Resistant Roller Shutter Door | 8,000 × 7,000 mm | Inside mount / side mount |
| PVC High Speed Door | 6,000 × 6,000 mm | Side mount |
| High Speed Spiral Door | 8,000 × 10,000 mm | Inside mount / side mount |
| Industrial Sectional Door | 8,000 × 10,000 mm | Side mount |
| EN Steel Insulated Fire Roller Shutter | Per project | Inside mount / side mount |
| UL Steel Fire Shutter Door | Per project | Inside mount / side mount |
| Steel Explosion-Proof Roller Shutter Door | Per project | Inside mount / side mount |
| Steel & Fire Door | Per project | Hinged door: single, unequal or double leaf |
If you are not sure which type fits, the guide Roller Shutter vs High Speed vs Sectional Door compares size, speed, wind load and insulation.
2. Application and environment
Describe where the door will be used: building type, indoor or external opening, traffic frequency, wind exposure, clean or hazardous (explosive gas) area, and whether the site is coastal or humid.
3. Fire or explosion rating
If the opening needs a rating, state the standard and the level:
- EN 1634-1: EI 120 or EI 240, for the EN Steel Insulated Fire Roller Shutter.
- UL 10B: 180 minutes, for the UL Steel Fire Shutter Door.
- Ex IIC T4: for explosive gas areas, for the Steel Explosion-Proof Roller Shutter Door.
- SNI 1741-2008: a sample of the Steel & Fire Door has been tested by Sucofindo in Indonesia (integrity and insulation 120 minutes for the tested sample).
EN 1634-1 vs UL 10B explains how the two fire shutter ratings differ.
4. Control method
State how the door will be operated. The control methods listed for each door:
| Door type | Control methods |
|---|---|
| Wind-resistant roller shutter | Remote control, push button, manual chain hoist |
| PVC high speed door | Radar, inductive loop, remote control, push button |
| High speed spiral door | Push button, remote control, radar, inductive loop |
| Industrial sectional door | Push button, remote control, pull switch, radar, inductive loop, centralized control |
| EN and UL fire shutters | Push button, fire alarm interlock |
| Explosion-proof roller shutter | Push button |
5. Installation and power supply
Tell us whether the door is to be mounted inside the opening or on the wall face (inside mount or side mount), the headroom available above the opening, and the power supply on site (220 V single-phase or 380 V three-phase). For the industrial sectional door, standard lift, high lift or vertical lift is selected according to the headroom and pipeline layout of the building, so mention any pipes or ducts above the opening.
6. Options
List the options you need, for example:
- Curtain slats or curtain: material and thickness. The roller shutter slats are explained in Roller Shutter Slat Materials and Coatings; the PVC high speed door curtain is 0.8, 1.0 or 1.2 mm PVC-coated fabric.
- Finish: coating or colour.
- Vision panel and wicket door: for example on the industrial sectional door.
- Safety devices: such as a wireless safety edge, photoelectric safety sensor or infrared safety light curtain, depending on the door type.
7. Quantity, location and schedule
Give the number of doors of each type, the project country and city, and the planned installation date.
Step by step
Measure each opening
Record the clear width × height in mm for every opening and compare it with the maximum size of the door type.
Choose the door type and rating
Select the door type and any fire or explosion rating required (EN 1634-1, UL 10B or Ex IIC T4).
Note site conditions and installation
Describe the application, control method, mounting, headroom and power supply (220 V single-phase or 380 V three-phase).
Send the enquiry
Add options, quantity, project location and planned installation date, and send everything with the enquiry form.
